Staple-spun polyester thread is an affordable sewing thread suitable for general applications. It is manufactured from twisted polyester fibres which form the thread. Recommended for general sewing, overlocking and quilting of light to medium fabrics.
Staple-spun threads have less strength than core-spun threads and may show lint loss and abrasion. Not recommended for applications where strong thread is required.
Staple-spun polyester is a suitable option for overlocking as it is available on inexpensive 5000m cones.
TKT 120/ TKT 110 - All-purpose thread strength suitable for machines and overlockers.
TKT 36 - Extra-strong thread suitable for secure seams and top stitching. Can be used on leather and footwear.
